Uyuni – Coquesa (L, D)

Today we will pick you up from your Uyuni hotel at 10:00 am approx. and later on you will start the tour of your life! The Uyuni Salt Flats (3663 mts/12017.7 ft) are the biggest in the world, covering more than 10,500 square kilometers. On our way, we will make our first stop at the train cemetery with trains abandoned in 1940’s after the collapse of the mining industry in Uyuni.

Then, we will continue through the town of Colchani (3674 mts/12053.8 ft) where locals sell their crafts and products which are mainly made out of Uyuni salt. From here we will enter to the expansive salt flat, with endless great photographic opportunities and an awe-inspiring sights and also diverse views of the salt flats, with the salt pyramids and the famous hotel made of salt.

Following the adventure, we will continue our trip into the famous Incahuasi island (3700 mts/12139.1 ft), where we will have a walk for about 45 minutes. It offers a great view of the salt flats.
Later on, we will arrive at our next destination, Coqueza (3689 mts/12103.0 ft) where our very charming home-stay accommodation is located. And here, we will enjoy a great sunset over the salt flats.


Mummies of Tunupa - Uyuni (B, L)

Today you have the option to get up very early to see the Sunrise over the salt flat (we advise that you do as it is worth it!)

Then, after breakfast, you will be taken to see the mummies located at the shores of the Tunupa Volcano. Afterwards, you will hike uphill in order to get at the first view-point to have an amazing view of the Salt lake and the Volcano Tunupa.

Upon completion of our marvelous tour, we return to Coqueza village to visit an interesting museum called: Chantani, a stone animal museum. After lunch you will be returned to Uyuni arriving by 17:00 pm approx.


  • Between January and March, the tour to Incahuasi (Cacti Island) depends on weather conditions as during these months, the rains are heavier.
  • The pickup/drop off is considered from/to Uyuni accommodations except for Salt hotels.
  • Accommodations are conditioned with basic facilities.
  • Bolivia Visa is not included on the program; you should require it in advance to a Bolivian consulate near your home since the migratory procedures are different for each country.
  • If you wish to take this package as a solo traveler or in a group starting from three people please consult with your travel specialist.
