Uyuni – San Juan (L, D)

Today we will pick you up from your Uyuni hotel at 10:00 am approx. and later on you will start the tour of your life! The Uyuni Salt Flats (3663 mts/12017.7 ft) are the biggest in the world, covering more than 10,500 square kilometers. On our way, we will make our first stop at the train cemetery with trains abandoned in 1940’s after the collapse of the mining industry in Uyuni.

Then, we will continue through the town of Colchani (3674 mts/12053.8 ft) where locals sell their crafts and products which are mainly made out of Uyuni salt. From here we will enter to the expansive salt flat, with endless great photographic opportunities and an awe-inspiring sights and also diverse views of the salt flats, with the salt pyramids and the famous hotel made of salt.

Following the adventure, we will continue our trip into the famous Incahuasi island (3700 mts/12139.1 ft), where we will have a walk for about 45 minutes. It offers a great view of the salt flats.
Later on, we will arrive at our next destination, San Juan (3696 mts/12125.9 ft) where we will spend our first overnight.


San Juan – Huayllajara (B, L, D)

After breakfast we will continue our journey passing through the railway to Chile and the Salt flat of Chiguana, and we will continue to the Look-out of the Volcano Ollague (4170 mts/13681.1 ft) After crossing our first pass, we will see the following lagoons: Laguna Kañapa, Laguna Hedionda, Chiarkhota and Honda. Also, we will have our lunch at one of these lagoons with stunning views.
We continue through the desert of Siloli (4800 mts/15748.0 ft) and after crossing our second pass we will stop by a stone tree. Finally, we will arrive at the national park Eduardo Avaroa (average of 5000 mts/16404.2 ft), where we will register and pay our entrance fees to the park.
Right after, we will reach the biggest and most beautiful Laguna Colorada (4278 mts/14035.4 ft) where we will be able to see the three species of Flamencos that live around. Then, we will arrive at our second lodging at Huayllajara (4300 mts/14107.6 ft).


Geysers - - Uyuni (B, L)

We will start this day very early (05:00 am approx.) by visiting the geysers (4850 mts/15912.1 ft), which are the highest point of our trip.
We continue our trip through Chalviri Lagoon (4400 mts/14435.7 ft) and arrive to the hot springs, if you wish you will be able to take a warm bath in the hot springs. After, we continue our trip to the south of Laguna Verde (4300 mts/14107.6) and Volcano Licancabur.
Finally, is time to return to Uyuni; along the way, you will have an opportunity to take pictures of some places that you have already seen before like the valley of the rocks and San Cristobal. Arrival to Uyuni by 18:00 pm approx.
